I have a 12" cerwin vega sub powered by 300.1kicker amp and I want to upgrade the stock speakers. They are 6.5" and one of them is literally loose and hanging.
I want to run it off the stock head unit(volvo 1991) and use the original wires. I'm looking for a coaxial set of speakers that are very responsive to low power. I was thinking about the polk dbs, but it seems that they will probably need a nice amp to push them. Budget is under $75 but that should be enough for a low powered 6.5 coaxial set right? THANKS.
I have Polk DB6500 running off of my head unit, and have had them running off of a head unit, for quite some time now and I think they sound amazing.. but my speakers are components, not coaxils.. I'm sure the coaxils would sound great, too..
You can get a set of Polk DB650 for around that price shipped on ebay..
