right now i have a RE SX 12 and when i first got the sub i was happy but now almost a yr later im lookin for something a bit cheaper but more SPL while maintaining good SQ. i would like to spend about 600-700 on subs, 2 15s would be my 1st choice but would settle for 2 12s. any suggestions?

I don't think the Q will get him the SPL he is looking for. With 2 Q's you might get the same output as a single Sx, but I wouldn't go that route if you are looking for more output.
I've read a lot of speculation, but has anybody actually heard any of these subs and compared them? You cannot simply guess what will be louder because you heard other people takling about it, or because "if the Q is comparable to the old XXX, it won't have more output than a Sx."
