I know the post right below this is about better bass and all, but I'm looking into more specifics. In my last car I replaced the stock speakers w/ Infinity Kappas...5 1/4" in the front 6x9 in the back...and I always felt that there was a low end gap between the Kappas and the JL 10's in the trunk. I'm really in to the shrill/crisp highs from the infinity's. This next install is going to be 6.5's and 5 1/4's in the back (2 / 3 ways are a must, not into modding for the tweets). My question is, will going up a step to the Perfects give me what I'm listening for or is there a different brand I should try?

you need to run a set of components off an amp to get better midbass response to bridge the gap between the subs and interior speakers.

When you say "components" you mean components right? Not 2 or 3-way speakers.
