I was wanting to get a set of comps for a third car. Nothing to special I would like to keep it under 200. They would have a small amp on them if that helps at all. I listen to mostly rock music.. korn, tool, etc...

i got the SSCS6's hooked up in my brother's truck, haven't really gotten a chance to give them a good test or do any tuneing, but they sounded pretty good playing some Classic CCR for a few just to make sure he will be ok to listen a little till i get a chance to tweak.

and from what i've read over at CA's forums, they are some great speakers and very cheap, $159 from ROE's store.

i have heard a set of DLS Iridium components(silk tweeter) that would tear your head off with the snare drum and symbal crashes. :-)

ask Steve Head.

I really appreciate you guys helping me out. I am trying to put a cheap system in a third car and just want the most bang for the buck. BTW are the phoenix gold amps rated about right? cause that was what I am about to order in the next few days to power the speakers and the subs.

I think i am going to go with a 600 or 800 pg amp to power 2 12 fi x's or 1 15 fi ssd. And another pg amp to power the crystals. Do you think this will be a pretty cheap, but decent sounding setup for a daily driver?
