Just wanted to see what sealed box volumes single Type R Swr-1242d owners and users were using. Also if anybody in the Columbus area has a sealed 12 box and wants to sell i am open to prices.

rovin is the type r man. why dont you make ur own box? sealed boxes are very easy to make.

I know i saw his set-up in previous forum. I would love to but kind of busy right now may have time in a month or two but really wanted to get a feeling for what others were going with as far as volumes for their enclosures. Thanks for the reply.

i too have a pair of r's, but right now am only running one sealed. if your running a pair, i suggest giving each 1.75cuft., ported about 32-35hz. and what amp you plan on using?

whats the volume of sealed single type r your running? I already have a box but its a prefab, its wired at 2ohms powered by a mrd m605 and cda-9856 deck with knukoncepts wiring.

i used to have my type Rs in a 1.25cuft sealed and it pounded in there. it still pounds in there cause my friend bought it from me. its loud and clean.

well i only tried mine in a 1cuft/chamber box i had used on another project

this sub really pleasantly surprised me cause i thought it would be stiffled but believe me it flexes my car roof so much that it had me worried 4 a second . Hits very deep/clean/low & loud - sets off alarms & shakes my garage roof as well . PPL eyes pop when i show them how small that 1cuft box & how it performs.....

I guess what i wanted to know was if .85 to .88 cubes sealed to small for one type r 12.
