2day i went 2 the Crystal Audio dealer in my country !.

1st let me give credit 2 my ecoustics bud Chauncey Brown 4 bringing this brand into this forum when most of us never bothered with it .

I got demos of all the coax & components in this dealer's showroom where he had all the models in a demo box/stand thingy & i must say 4 the $ they perform damn good & loud too . Lowest model rated 50wrms 6.5" coax sounded like 1 of those 3way bookshelf home stereo sh!t & alot louder than it looks 4 sure .

The 6x9 r damn loud too & sound quite good 4 6x9s.

Comps/coax has a protection device thing attached which hinders them blowing due to overpower

Heard pair of 6.5" comps in his suv - very smooth / loud /clean - also in his car i got 2 hear a single 8" CMP rated 400wrms in a 1.5 cuft 3" pipe ported firing up . This sub & box was designed 4 a small trunk car where space was limited - this sub with only 200wrms powering it hits quite nicely loud/clean .

Also heard the PRO SE 12" rated @ 300wrms in the showroom in a demo box 2 cuft 4" pipe ported - results in an open room was same as above .

Got 2 hold/lift & carefully examine a COMP X2 12" - was VERY well built & quite heavy indeed ,didnt get 2 hear it because he did not have any amp there powerful enough .
He told me 1 15" of these he installed in some1's car & @ only 1/4 power the owner was uncomfortable sitting inside his car - lol .
All the subs were generously glued so as 2 avoid any failure - well built durable stuff .

Dealer says he always overpowers anything crystal because they r underrated & can handle it.

A very good thing too about crystal subs is that they dont require a huge oversized box & dealer says 90% of the time he uses their rec box vol & tuning .

Conclusion : Crystal = GR8 prodcuts with GR8 prices - I'm making arrangements 2 be a distributor 4 Crystal Audio here in my country , heck its time 4 a system change in my ride so its very possible will be alot of crystal products in my next install ... Upload

sq is very very close...but the compx will eat the rlp in spl....remember this the compx is one of the most efficent subs there is...dont get me wrong the rlp is an amazing sub....

I would compare the rlp with the comp not the compx

btw - dealer here told me compx2 can handle 2000wrms but going over would be overdoing & kinda pushing it 2 its limit .....

Dustin...almost sure the compx would get as loud as the 3515 with that much power...remember it is a very very very effcient sub....

But i recommend u give it 1800-2000rms for best results
