Is this amp a good idea

hey im wonderin if this MTX amp would be ok to buy for my my ininity 12" sub (300W RMS and 1230W max) in a sealed box or would it overpower it and damage it?( http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000F S10074473&catid= )also ive been looking at this amp but its not as powerful but would it still run the sub ok?

yes, mtx amps are good, it would work if your subs a svc 2ohm or dvc 4ohm...you can get that amp cheaper though...

they're good but i don't think that model can push those subs nicely cuz is 600w MAX and we care about rms. So my call would be pg xenon 600.1

that MTX amp will not be good if they are single 2 or dual 4, it is only stable at 2ohms max, he would need single 4 or dual 2 ohm subs, in order to run it at a 2 ohm load.

mis read only 1 sub, then dual 4, i do not think those came in a dual 2 ohm sub.

^^^^^that mtx is going to underpower and for the money you can get that sub fully powered...
