Giving a solo X double the power, of two L7's, of the same size - would be about the same in dB. (Because if you double the cone area, you gain 3 dB with the same amount of power. If you double the power, you also gain 3 dB). So for it to get louder, not only would have to give well over double the power to the Solo X in order to compensate for OVER double the cone area of the pair of L7's. I'm not sure the efficiency of the subs, though. In reality, there are a lot of variables.. Another thing would be, the placement of the subs. You can place one sub much more easily in the 'optimal' posistion in your vehicle, whereas two subs, you might get close, but one sub is going to be slightly off the 'perfect' spot for placement. |
