ok first question... does "dirty watts" make clipping occur? is dirty watts caused by ur head unit having "loud" on and having the bass up? how do u get clean watts?

never touch the loud button...clean watts is matching ur preout voltage of ur HU to ur amp or setting ur gain properly

also having a good electrical system helps your subs get clean watts

good electrical system
no bass boosts or manufacturer sound alterations like MX, BBE...ect.
keep HU volume low when setting gains.
set gains with Oscilloscope if you can.
Sqrt(Watts X Load) = V AC at amp output
^ good start if you don't have a O-Scope ^
and keep crossover points and slopes set correctly.
