ok i know jl 10w6 has the best sq but how loud do they get becasue i used to have to 12 L5 do they get as loud, i know the jls are 400 rms and and kicker is 600rms?
no they wont be as loud! They are SQL subs geared more toward SQ. I have heard a w6 in a spl tuned enclosure get mighty loud but thats not in a DD. If you were to get 2-12w6's and power them properly they would get louder then the L5's(depending on your instalation and set-up) but 2-10 in w6's wont be louder then 2-12in L5's
they won't get louder than the kickers but will sound much better. also the output won't be that bad. i don't think you will be tuning heads like a block away or anything. but who cares about that. lol.
what are you looking for exactly? clean or just loud? tell us around how much you want to spend and the people here will give you some nice suggestions on subs that will fit your need.
