when i contacted audioque they told me they hope to have them out by september but who knows really there still testing different materials to make the cone stronger so i doubt it will be out by sept. maybe by halloween which would be perfect cuz then my parents could buy me one for my bday which is the day after halloween lol

Jaymes keep in mind how fast you can rebuild a SoloX if you were to blow it and it slams hard man.I would know since I have one :-) Those other subs you're talking about can they be rebuilt in 5 minutes? Not to mention only for 150 bucks you pretty much have a sub that is as good as new and if you blow your sub at a Comp and Kicker is there they will give you a brand new one for free.So in all that sense the Solo X is really hard to beat not to mention it is really loud.

Oh!If you haven't heard one,I might be going to Zac's shop sometime soon and maybe you could meet me up there to see what a Solo X can do if you haven't heard one yet :-)

I really don't think that would be enough power for it.If you want something as loud as a Solo X but are only running 1200 watts,well...I don't think it's possible.
