Hello all, I ma new to the boards and I must say that they are great. So today I blew my amp it was the MTX 81000 D and dont really know how, but anyway I have two MM2124 POLK MOMO subs, an I'm getting a Orion HCCA D2400 tomorrow with a new kinetics battery, so my question to you all is this, what is the best way to get all the power I can to the subs, they are 4 ohm each. below I have posted the specs on the subs and amp to help. Electrical
Overall Frequency Response 23-200 Hz
Nominal Impedance 4 ohms
Minimum Impedance 3.3 ohms
Power Handling (continuous) 400 w
Power Handling (peak) 800 w
Efficiency 88 dB
Voice Coil Diameter: Driver 2" (5.08cm)
Magnet Weight 60.00 oz.

2400W Class D Mono Amplifier
RMS @ 4 Ohm: 1 x 425
RMS @ 2 Ohm: 1 x 800
RMS @ 1 Ohm: 1 x 1200
Variable low-pass 30Hz to 250Hz
variable high-pass with INTELLi Q 20Hz to 150Hz
10dB of boost with INTELLi Q
Remote gain capable
Selectable AUX out
Fuse size: (3) 40 ATC
Dimentions: 12.6" x 10.2" x 2.4"
Power Rating: 425 Watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms
Signal to Noise Ratio: -57dBA (reference 1 watt into 4 ohms)
Additional Power Output: 1200 Watts RMS at 1 ohm
Massive loosely-regulated MOSFET power supply
IntelliQ Bass Optimization Circuit and Remote Gain Control
Heavy Gauge Direct-wire High Current Power and Speaker Terminals
18dB/octave Low-pass Filter

Thank you in advance for all your help, I hope this will be louder then the MTX amp.

Wire them in down to 2 ohms, 800 should be enough for them, 1200 @1 would be to much and would raise the distortion. Click on the wiring options link

I'm not really happy with the out come from these subs with that amp, not as loud as the MTX 81000D that was hooked up to them, so what would anybody recomend for 12's to go with this amp. I have about 200 to work with so ebay will probley be where I would get them. Thank you everybody for your past and futer resopnse's.

Or would you maybe recomend just one really good 12? If I could get one good dvc that I could get down to 1 ohm and I could run 1200 watts to it. what do you guys think would be louder or sound better? Thank you
