you would prolly be ok it you watch the sub...the amp would have lil more power than the sub would want, but you can set the gain to adjust for that.
just dont be a volume monkey and you would be fine. having the extra power would allow you to keep the amp well under clipped levels and get full excursion out of your sub. (less distortion)
but like i say...dont just blast the h3ll out of it.
