ok i just got my 2 12 w3 d6's in the mail yesterday, does the d6 mean they are dual 6 ohm voice coils, and if they are how can i wire them to give them a good amount of power, i once heard you can wire 2 of them down to a 1.5 of an ohm, i have an orion 1200d on my stock electrical system, so really when i run it at one ohm its prolly putting out like 1000 watts becasuye i do have a decent size alternator (130 amps) so if this is the case and i have to wire tehm down to a 1.5 ohm load, would like 800 watts be too much for these subs...and if i am wrong, how should i wire these...

Yep, the D6 means they're dual 6 ohm.

Wire each sub in parallel giving you two 3 ohm subs, then wire those in parallel and you'll get 1 ohm. The only other option is wiring them at 6 ohms.

*and you'll get 1.5 ohm*

and that amp should be fine for those. on jl's website, they have their recommended power range from 100w-500w rms, so you're good to go.

Yeah, my bad.

I'm really getting sick of all of these ohm wiring questions, from now on I'm just linking this: http://sl.wus0.com/quclk.go?rd=http://www.bcae1.com/spkrmlti.htm&res=17&crid=4cb fbaae6e2ef51d&pos=2&mr=25&qu=sub%20wiring

ok so will it make a 1.5 or a 1 ohm load....and that website jsut had me lost, how do i wire them each into 3 ohms, and then after that i prolly just connect each positive and negative to each other, but i dont know how to get them into three ohms...i usually use the rockford thing but since they don't make dual 6ohm ssubs it ain't on there, so if someone could just tell me how to wire each speaker to 3 ohms, it'd be appreciated..
