SX with MT motor

The SX does not have a triple spider so I'm wondering if fully powered the cone would tear from the spider? Or is the surround even capable of the extra excursion the MT motor would present? I'm tempted to get this MT motor and do it for shits and giggles but if something goes wrong I'm out of a sub.
MuDDy Gold Member Username: Basshead86 Google is your Friend, FL Post Number: 4750 Registered: Aug-05	Posted on Saturday, August 26, 2006 - 13:21 GMT i am not sure. but i doubt it is anything over 2000wRMS for an extended period of time. the SX is rated at 1000wRMS. the MT is rated much much higher. lol i think the surround would rip or the dust cone would fall of before the coils would burn up from the increased motor force...but i could be wrong. DO IT and get a vid!!!
