I have just bought 2xJBL GTO1202D subs. I am totally new to this and i have no idea what amp would be best. I was thinking of getting a jbl amp to match the subs, does it make a difference if you use different brand of amp to sub?

Would I be better off getting a mono amp or a 2 channel amp.

Do i need a 600w amp if not what size?

these are the specs for the subs

12" 1200W peak subwoofer
Dual Voice coil design (dual 2-ohm, pre-wired as a 4-ohm sub)
Power Handling, RMS: 300 Watts
Power Handling, Peak: 1200 Watts
Frequency Response (±3dB): 28Hz - 450Hz
Sensitivity: 93dB
