New member Username: Integra3586Phoenix, Az United States Post Number: 1 Registered: Aug-06 | i just intalled my new alarm, the Python 881 xp two way pager with remote start alarm. installation went pretty well. the previous alarm i had was the Clifford Matrix 3. the primary harness plugged right into the new alarm. the only wiring difference was the yellow, and white/blue. in my new alarm they yellow is unused to i disconnected it. as for the white/blue, it was never hooked up before, and it remains disconnected. this diagram is from the Cliffor matrix 3 alarm [IMG]http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f51/vtec3586/IMG_7348.jpg[/IMG] this diagram is from the new Python 881xp [IMG]http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f51/vtec3586/IMG_7350.jpg[/IMG] now on to what is going on wrong. the car starts fine when i push (*) twice. icon for start goes on and stays on on the lcd screen. but when i go to unlock/disarm the alarm the car dies, and not like a safetly switch has been triggered. because the start icon goes away (just like when i push the (*) button to turn off the car. ive done some tests, ive hit the brakes when its running, and the start icon stays lit but the car dies, the samething happens when i open the door. someone on a nother board was saying that the remote is programmed wrong. they think the unlock/disarm button is programmed to shut the car off. to me this sounds like the most plausable idea. any help would be appreciated. ps. could this relate to me not using the white/blue wire on the primary harness? if so where do i hook it up to on a 2001 integra? pss. this is the diagram i used to hook up the remote start http://www.directwholesale.net/diagrams/diagram.asp?ModelID=16309&MakeID=3&link= BULLDOG |
