Tuesday, August 22, 2006 - 01:24 GMT that amp is 1 ohm stable, so a dual 2 ohm is prob what you want....

Tuesday, August 22, 2006 - 01:28 GMT i am thinking the 1440 might be a bit much for a DD 2500 series...unless you are easy on the gain....or know how to control the volume knob. they say it will take up to 1500wRMS on the Dd forum...but they don't recommend it to ppl b/c they don't want them to blow it and them come back to them saying "bad advice!!" lol

Tuesday, August 22, 2006 - 01:29 GMT I've heard DD but not that series so I'm unaware of its potential. If it helps I'm doing 145.7 @ 45hz (box tuned to 35hz) with the SX 15" off 1000rms. I'm unsure of what my amp actually puts out. If you do the fuse trick (4x35=140x10=1400) I should be seeing 1400 given the amp may be under-rated and given it gets full power.

Tuesday, August 22, 2006 - 01:34 GMT that formula doens't account for amplifier inefficiency. divide that number by roughly 1.2 for class D amps and by roughly 1.4 for class a/b amps. that is closer to your RMS than yer formula. lol

Tuesday, August 22, 2006 - 14:17 GMT either amp will work. just set the gains appropriately and use common sense. the 2500 series is by no means a pure SPL sub. they get loud but they sound very clean and accurate as well.

Wednesday, August 23, 2006 - 03:01 GMT i love my system. it gets plenty loud for me when i want it to....and not to brag....but would shock the HELL out of you for only 1 ported 10"....it wouldn't be the first time i had to show someone my box....and they stood their and said....where is the other 10"??? lol anyways thanks Chad, i didn't realize ot at the time....but i got lucky when i let them(my local shop) help me pick out my amps. i have had the same system going on 2 years now. no complaints. but of course who doesn't want to try new things....lol
