Type r low pass help

hi i have 2 type r 10's.. powered by an s2.600.2 lightning audio amp. im wondering where i should set the low pass filter. they are each in their own ported boxes. i like loudness! (im not good with this technical crap) thx aheda of time.

Help! I have a sound system in my little honda crx. The back hatch virate too much. I've dynomat the whole car, except for the hatch door. Can some one please tell me, how to stop the hatch door from vibrating so DAMMMM much and still have the bass up loud? THANKS!

ryan.......start with 90hz. thats a good starting point. then work your way down to 80, 70, etc.
see what sounds best to you and stick with that one.


monk......try finding a way to shut your hatch tighter. you can wrap the little hook with eletrical tape and that will make it tighter.

But I try wrap with eletrical tape already and still have the same problem.

Hi Muddy,

I did dynamat the whole car and wrap eletrical tape on the back hatch door hook, But the hatch still vibrate like crazy.

i had the same problem with my ford escape and i found a lot of the vibration is caused because the subs are firing directly into the back hatch. try putting your box on its "back" so the subs fire up.

you need to dynamat the hatch door. it will help.

i recall you saying you did everything but the hatch door....do it too. :-)
