ok well i finally found someone to buy my freaking audiobahns so im getting new subs. i am looking for some good sq that will still get loud. i was thinking of goin down to 2 10 inch type Rs but i think im leanin more back towards the 12s. i had 2 12" aw1206Ts powered like half way (i know its not good but its all i could do) and i had them turned down half way on the head unit and it it was plenty loud for me so heres my question. would one alpine type X 12" at 960 watts RMS at 4 ohms give me the bass im looking for? i really want a good sounding system and no ported boxes i just really dont like them. im thinking either 2 type R 12s or one type X 12 in sealed. im leaning more towards the x, but im just wondering like if you think it would get loud enough for me. my freinds 2 10 inch infinity's are almost somewhat loud enough for me so im not looking for massive bass just something that will sound good. thanks.
if you're putting them in a sealed box, get the type x over the type r. R's sound good ported, but in my opinion they sound like sh!t sealed. X's are made to be sealed.
