Gold Member Username: AlteraudiousaConcord Post Number: 1144 Registered: Jan-06 | which ones you looking for? |
Gold Member Username: Mikechec9Post Number: 2437 Registered: May-05 | Whatever you have on sale that will beat these http://ascendantaudio.com/poly_6.5_page.html just from 70-350Hz for a comparable tag. Replacing my IR 6.5 from my IR 6.3 set. So upper range isn't important at all. Just a mean/clean low and fullness at 150-350. |
Gold Member Username: Mikechec9Post Number: 2438 Registered: May-05 | 150-350 Hz, that is (not dollars ) |
Gold Member Username: AlteraudiousaConcord Post Number: 1146 Registered: Jan-06 | that sale price is crazy, thats hard to beat. If you need midbass you should look into the Tang Band 6.5. I can see what price I can get you on those. Those will be hefty for the midrange or try the new CDT M6 driver. |
Silver Member Username: AdddisorderWest palm, Florida Post Number: 565 Registered: Jan-06 | can you put up some prices of maybe some pretty cheap x-overs and maybe some silk tweets. iv got an alpine type r set but was thinking of replacing the midbass driver with AAs mids and leaving the alpine xover and tweets or whatever still thinking but trying to stay cheap |
Gold Member Username: AlteraudiousaConcord Post Number: 1148 Registered: Jan-06 | matt just PM me about them and i'll get you prices on them. |
Silver Member Username: AdddisorderWest palm, Florida Post Number: 570 Registered: Jan-06 | thanks i think im going to pass on buying new tweets and x-over i really like what i got but just wanted options. i want your opinion weather you think i should upgrade my type r drivers to the AA drivers and leave the alpine xover and tweets. i love the sound of my alpines but cant really pass up on AA's sale its been tempting me for a long time. do you think there will be a decent difference in midbass quality? you should join over on "j designs.info" (minus the space) |
Silver Member Username: AdddisorderWest palm, Florida Post Number: 573 Registered: Jan-06 | bump |
Gold Member Username: AlteraudiousaConcord Post Number: 1155 Registered: Jan-06 | i haven't had time with the AA's but from what everyone is saying they're quite nice. The Alpine's are quite a good driver especially when overpowered. You can always just get them AAs, they're only 70$ right. |
Silver Member Username: AdddisorderWest palm, Florida Post Number: 579 Registered: Jan-06 | yeah i think like 75 shipped. and im over powering my alpines with 125rms and it was a huge difference when i upgraded from 75 takeing your advise from a while back |
Gold Member Username: AlteraudiousaConcord Post Number: 1156 Registered: Jan-06 | yeah the Alpines are quite power hungry speakers but can handle the higher power. |
