So i just got a 05 RE XXX 15 dual 2 ohm and was looking for a good amp. i have a t500.2 amp but that puts about 600-700 watts with how i wiring it. I'm looking for a amp that i could push around 1300-1600 rms at 1ohm. My budget is 400. any advice appreciated.
Keep your eye open for a Xtant x1001 on ebay. They can be had for rediculously low prices simply becuase they are not mainstream. It is rated for 1000 wrms @ 1-ohm but the technical support will tell you that it puts out at least 1500 wrms. And Xtant amps are some of the best quality amps around. They just aren't mainstream and never get the credit they deserve. Plus if you buy them new they are rather spendy.
kicker kx1200.1 go for $350 new on ebay through hifisoundconnection. Birthsheets say they really put out 1440W rms. Sometimes you can find a good deal on a used one though. I recently picked one up for the same sub except the 12".
