Has anyone had any experience with this combination? I'm thinking about getting an Ipod and the interface. Does it sound good? Is it easy to scroll through the songs with the head unit?
I would say it sounds as good as any other direct connect HU/iPod option, but "easy" in terms of control is a bit of a subjective term. If you have the option, I'd try to find an audio shop that will let you demo the 9853 (or a similar Alpine model) with the interface cable. I much prefer keeping the controls on the ipod itself, but that's just me.
