After my truck was broken into for a third time, I have had it with just a regular alarm system. I decided to go with a paging system so that I can meet and greet the little s**t that is trying to get in, but the range on any of these is only 1/4 mile. this makes me think that if I am behind several walls or if my truck is in a parking garage I might not even get the page. I found an add on unit made by DEI (maker of Viper and Clifford alarms) that uses an actual pager and has up to a mile range. Has anyone ever tried this system? I have already bought it on EBay for only $19, so I won't be too bummed if it is not all it's cracked up to be.
