Problem With Subs!! help needed please

I have 2 12 inch Kenwoods W3005 and i have them in my ford f150 hooked up to a pioneer 760 watt amp....
(yea i know the amp is weak) lol The subs hit hard but when i turn the volume past 20 they will cut out... Is my amp to weak? Any help would be appreciated thanks!

its a little thing called distortion, you probably have a stock head unit, get a new HU so u can set the bass control, loudness, etc. to how loud you want it without it sounding like sh1t. its not your amp.

on the head unit i also have the subwoofer level at negative 3 and the bass at negative 3 also....

distortion is where the subwoofer is being pushed too hard and it sounds bad. I don't have too much experience with car amps, but maybe the ohm load is too low. That happened to my reciever one time.
