my car did that while i was driving very slowly i had it up to about 21 and it shut off and i almost sh*t on myself but then it came back on my guess would be that your alternator isent powerful enough and it shuts it off to save it from blowing

sounds like power drainage. Get a HO alternator.

^^ not enough amperage at idle .. get h/o alt of an extra battery.. or save money and don't crach it till your rpm is up

upgrading the big 3 on a stock alt might help a little too. before i got my ho alt in, i upgraded the big 3 with a 0 gauge cable and the voltage improved a little. it won't do magic but it will improve it a little.

The alt volt meter on the instrument cluster? It's a fairly bad indicator of what the voltage is in my opinion.

Either way, yeah, your idle amperage is being exceeded.

just get an extra yellowtop optima battery that solve all your problems it takes from the battery there anyways when the alternator is exceeded so really an extra battery is all that is needed
