I have two 12" DVC ample audio exonics in a dual vented box... the were 4 ohm DVC and I wired them up together to deliver 4 ohm bridged to the amp.. This worked great although a few times it rattled a connection inside loose, but i rewired it and it was fine.. I noticed the other day, one speaker was not working. I assumed a connection had come loose.. Everything inside was fine, so i began testing it, and on one speaker one voice coil was not working, i connected it up to the other coil on the broken sub and it started working perfectly fine again.. i now have to wire it up differently because of the dead coil... can anyone give me an explanation on what happened?

the connection made the sub twist and rub metal on metal and melted the VC, matter of time and the other side is gonna do it too

Did you have both coils on both woofers hooked up?

i use like some lil clips, they have like an O and like a lil screw where you put the wires, then you connect it to the amp, that's perfect.

that is almost definately the reason, same sh1t happened to me, a wire came unhooked and that VC stopped and it rubbed metal 2 metal
