They're made by people who don't know anything about car audio and, for example, rate their piece of junk Jensen's as five stars and claim they have 'pounding bass' on their factory speakers.

You have to go through customer service (if existant) and all kinds of other garbage just to get a problem resolved. Ebay, you do it one on one with a seller that actually knows what you're talking about. Sure, the seller can cheat you out of your money, and that's why you have to be careful and watch feedback ratings before you bid.
