Ok, I know next to nothing about car sound systems. I just got my first car (92 accord ex) and being 18, stock speakers are not that desireable. I have a 400w amp and 2 12" 300w subs. I wanted to know if its better to wire the amp/subs to the factory deck (saving money) or just buy a new aftermarket deck and wire it up there. Im guessing that aftermarket decks have some sort of output for an amp?

Aftermarket deck all the way. They have pre-outs on them and very good ones with nice controls. Pioneer would be a good way to go. We just need to know your budget.

Well, Im not hugely concerned with the brand. On top of that, whats the deal with the wiring for an aftermarket deck? Do I simply remove the wiring harness on the back and swap the decks? I also notice a black wire on the back of the fectory deck next to the wiring harnes that you cant take off.
