I just had a Sony 52W CD deck installed ( http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7335216&type=product&productCatego ryId=cat03066&id=1118845473784 )and I am in need of rear speakers.

The stock speakers that I had are blown and so I need to replace them. I need to know what speakers are good for my system as far as power and such. There are so many options when it comes to choosing speakers and I have no idea what speakers will work best with my system. I don't really want to spend the money on subs and amps I just want the speakers.

PLEASE help!

What size speakers do you need?

Also how much are you willing to spend?

Alpine: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_3454.html

Infinity: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_4293.html

Kicker: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_3596.html

Polk: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6993.html

If you wanted comp speakers instead I can find you some of those also.

Thanks! How do I know what to look for as far as RMS and watts and all that?

Really, the main thing to look at is the RMS. The RMS is pretty much the max amount of watts that it takes to power the speaker. Lets say one of them has 100 Watts RMS (which I think one of them does). Your Sony HU will power those speakers with 17 Watts RMS. The speakers will still work but, you won't be getting the most out of that speaker. What most people do is find an amp to power speakers to increase it's performance.

Any off the speakers Joe suggested would work well for you. I'd personally go with the Polk or Alpines but that's just me.

As far as power ratings, you'r deck only pushes 17W RMS, like Joe said, so it's really not going to matter much. If you're going to run subs, amps or new frot speakers, then things change a bit, but if this is all you're planning on upgrading then my suggestion is to get out and listen to as many of your options as you can before you buy since how they sound to you will be what matters most.
