Cant get continuous power to my head unit in my 1992 Toyota Hilux

I have a 1992 toyota hilux and have installed a JVC KD-G525 head unit. It works but it has no continuous power so it loses its memory. Can somebody please help me.

check the fuses.
trace the +12V constant wire back to the fuse box, make sure its in good condition. should be a Yellow wire i think.
or just run you a new one straight to the battery. make sure you fuse it though.

Whats the best way to run a new wire to the head unit.

12 gauge wire, use an o shaped metal ring and crimp it to the wire. Then attach it to the screw that clamps the positive battery terminal. Run the wire through the firewall and up to your head unit. Don't forget to put a fuse within 18" of the battery.

If that seems to be too much, get a fuse tap (small piece of metal with a male spade adaptor) and tap into a fuse that gets 12v constantly.
