That's like my Mustang, alternator on top. My Acura is a b-i-a-t-c-h cause the alternator is near the BOTTOM of the engine. According to the shop manual, it was suppose to come out under the car/axle, but in reality, only way it'll come out was though the top by removing hoses and parts.
What a stupid design.
3 hours is not bad, I spent almost a day for the swap. A smaller alternator belt had to be also replaced, which meant removing more parts cause the idiots decided that alternator belt should be located before other belts.
What a nightmare.

Isaac, that is exacly what I had to do disconect hoses, wires, and take out a couple parts. I didn't have to swap the belt tho. Also, my step dad has been a mechanic for over 20 years now owns a shop and he helped me out.
