i have a a8000t hooked up to a couple subs and i know when the protection light comes on and it shuts off that its running to hard..but is there anything i can do to fix this. cause if i crank it up high for a lil bit it gets really hot then goes into protection mode so is there somethin i can adjust with the gains or bass boost to make this stop?

What subs are you running off it?

what subs you have. Also if you have a bass knob, stop using it, might blow your subs. Maybe you have your subs wired to a lower impedance that your amp can't handle

see how u have it wired...and see if u have the right independance...cause if u have it wired 1 ohm instead of 2..the amp is unstable and will shut off...and go into protectino mode like u are saying!

you can not wire to 2 ohms, 1 or 4 if they are dual 4s, and at 4 ohm they way underpowered..
