Absolutely, if anything, the sound quality will be better and you know it's going to last. Does a friend of yours have 4 Sonys or something? They're not even comparable in my opinion.
i myself was thinking about 4 sony xplod subs before i knew anything about subwoofers. instead of buying them i asked on this forum and ended up getting a 15 arsenal extremely happy with my choice and cheaper and louder than buying 4 sony xplods

i see people entering comps with a single re sx but never have i seen someone enter the lanes with 4 sony explodes. maybe if you had 20 of them they might get loud.
