If you were put on a show and you had to use a kicker 1200 amp, what 2, 12 inch subs what would you choose and how would you set them up to get the highest db record in that catogory. Just off of the top of your head what would you think about using.
Remember Pure spl.

well its 1200wrms amp. you would be underpowering the L7s. the L5s would work with that amp though. but i've never heard the L5s and have owned the cvrs so i am just posting from my experience with the subs.

Woudn't the size off the box compensate for the missing watts? If i look at a brahma, they say u can give it 1000 wrms, but the bigger the box, the less wrms u have to send it...

2 Kicker L7 Dual 2's wired parallel to a 1/2 ohm load, ported enclosure, 14x14x28 with 2 4" aeroports 12" long. Put this set up in a Honda CRX, have the box laying on its side(subs facing drivers side of car) ports firing back and keep an 18" gap between the back of the car and the box.

Btw, Chad, the Kx1200.1 puts out a ton more than 1200 watts!, it's underrated at 1 ohm, and at 1/2 wow, it really comes alive. And if you know what your doing you can get some serious power out of them at 1/4 ohm.

If this system were in this car (crx) the note you would want to play would be between 60hz and 63hz. you couldn't play music on these amps at 1/4 ohm, only burps at the resonant frequency of the vehicle, with this particular set up in this car there is a bit of impedence rise that will allow this amp to have a 1/4 ohm reactive load ran to it. A fixed resistive load would send this thing into protect quicker n sh!t lol.
Anywho, thats my set up idea for ya man, at least with the Kx1200.1 you've got.

yeah zac def. knows what hes talking about. im not sure but he might stll hold a record. you still hold that zac? id say youd proly see about 3000 watts at 1/4 ohm but like he said thats only for burpd, and not for very long

Well, I love them to death. I used to have 2 12" CVR's, and I sold them to get the CVX's. Basically, it's what they tell you, it's a solobarics loudness, with the quality of a round sub. I love them. They get loud as hell. But they sound really good. What amp are you using? I've got a ZX1000.1 putting out almost 1200 watts to them.
