its basically the same amp if you are talking new orion they are both made by directed so i say they are the same. but old orion is completley different. lol.
haha no. lol. they arent bad amps whatsoever they weere just great amps in the early 90s. om talking like the hcca series. they were cheater amps. but new orion is still a pretty good brand, id use it if i could. how much power are you needing? and was there a price range?
If your going to go with a Directed Audio company amp, sell that amp u got and go to Ebay and get a Viper 1200d.1 Best amp ever made by Directed. They also make 600.1d and 2400.1d. They are mono block, but have two (-) & (+) outputs for subs. i got mine wired to two Rockford Fosgate P3 10' Dual 4's at 1 ohm and the Viper can hold this 1 ohm easily. gets the true 1200 watts to your speakers, depending on the powers source you got.
