Very bad amp trouble please help

today i got my sub and decided tp test it in the house ive done this 8 times and i use the amp out of my powered sub and wen i conected it it i had to turn it really loud and u still couldnt hear anyhting and the amp just died out and turned off and will not turn on again wat can i do ?

how are you hooking the amp and sub up in your house?

You probably killed the power supply. What kind of 'powered' sub did you use? Computer or theater? Computer amps are around 35watts rms and theater subs are about 100w rms. Either way, I wouldn't reccommend doing that because those amps are made for a very specific speaker.
