I've seen a few similar posts on these forums, but none I've seen have been identical.
My Kenwood Flip-Face Head Unit has locked itself OPEN. Most other people have had trouble with them locking shut. Mine is locked with the face facing outwards. This is not a big problem as I can still play CDs and the Radio, but if ever I did want to hide the fascia, or play a cassette (as I would like to with an iPod cassette converter) then I can't...
