A friend is has a RF t30001bd amp that is 1 ohm stable. He is going to run a solo x 18" with it. What would be the best vc configuration? They only come in dual 2 ohm or dual 1 ohm. thanks for any input.

youd either have to wire to half ohm, or i think 2 ohms so yeah, either you wouldnt get all the power or your amp would go into protection or blow
with dual two mathmatically you should be at 1 ohm, but its really 1.5

He is putting it in an s-10. I told him that its a novelty subwoofer, but I think that is why he is doing it. If he were to get two of them and two of the 3000 watt amps would two 1 ohm models work? He has been looking online for them and the 1ohm models are about 200 bucks cheaper. He was actually thinking of putting two of them in the bed of the truck. Silly if you ask me.
