i have a pair, for my first set...n' they are plenty loud...and i only have them in a sealed box..and they still make my ears hurt....i can be heard around 2 blocks away....but i have a small amp..so i'm not getting full off them.... give them their recommended 300watt ea..n' they will thump for your first system, you will be pleased with alpine quality. and they sound NICE also at the same time..not no distorted crud
i have a vibe266 refurb(100<that is with shippin) hooked up 2 the 4ohm stype of the type S n' they pound nicely, and the amp always keeps up....if i was you its a nice setup for 275$ range....
