I have a Pioneer head unit that has the ipod attachment thing making the ipod an aux. hooked into the head unit and you use the controls on the head unit instead of the ipod. My question is I can't jump letters like from A to S without going all the way through. Is there anyway on the remote or the head unit that you can jump ahead in the alphabet? Thanks need help with

please email if need more info or I will check here.

You've hit on one of the main reasons a lot of people don't like the direct connections that Pioneer and Alpine offer. As far as I'm aware, there is no way to jump around your library with any sort of speed while using the direct connection method. That was one of the reasons I went with the indirect AUX in cable (this) for my DEH-P5800. There may be some way to do it that I'm simply not aware of, but I tested the interface adapter and couldn't find any way to skip around my library. Plus, I'm already used to the iPod controls and having it within arms reach in my car doesn't bother me any. If there were a way to allow you to use the deck controls AND/OR the iPod controls to navigate that would certainly be appealing. But, as far as I know, all the direct connection methods lock the iPod when they're attached.
