Hello everyone. New here. I was hoping you guys can help me with a particular setup I'm going for. Iam about to purchase 2 10" Audiobahn Alum10s. They are rated at 1600 watts a apeaker and they are dual 6 ohms. Rms rating is 800.
They are going to be housed in a custom box to fit under the back seat of my Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab(2001). Question is how do you wire these type of speakers or what is the best way to wire them. Also what type of amplifier or what type would you recommend to pudh this type of power. I want them to hit hard and clear. I also plan on running the amp with a capacitor.
What would be better, a 500k cap or a 1.0 farad cap as I forgot the rules on using capacitors.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Ken

Ur gonna need an amp that puts out 1500-1600rms @ 1ohm, max watts are pointless.....only look at rms.

This is how u wire them

Also there is no need for you to have a cap read

As for ur setup being hard and clear, NOT WITH AUDIOBURN......lol

Good Luck

I think I will settle for the Kenwood Excelon
KAC-X812D amp. It's a 1600 watt Class D 1 ohm stable mono amplifier. Will this work for my intended set up. Will I get the power I'm looking for.

kenneth one last thing, why are you getting audiobahn?? and those subs have a tricky wiring configuration. Better get 2 assasins from AA, you'll be better.

Juliob I saw them at a good price plus I heard
them in my local audio shop. I basically want
something that hits hard at a reasonable price.
I don't have the 'Big Baller Budget' yet. What are these assassins you mention. Do you have a link.
