I have learned that many of the high end speakers use Vifa for their drivers. What would be the difference in a component system if I bought 2 X 6.5" woofers and 2 tweeters, then crossed them over using an A/D/S crossover I have. Or, even using the crossover in my headunit. They would be run from my A/D/S PQ10 plate Amp. Would what I be missing by doing this as opposed to buying the expensive brands? Another way to phrase this is: What do the brand name people do to the drivers that Parts Express and Madisound do not do? Another question is: If I do this, then what advice would one give?
