Could the 6 1/2" jl 6w0 be used as a midbass driver if the crossovers are set correctly?

i would not use the Jl as a midbass driver. It does much better as a bass player from about 200hz and down. I would get the CDT HD-6s to play about 63-500hz. What frequencies are you wanting it to play? That may be a deciding factor.

I'm running the polk sr6500's, but I think they lack a little bit in the midbass. Cdt was my other choice. I was about to buy the cdt's, but came across the jl's. They are going in the factory rearfill of an ext. cab s-10. I want really good sq and just want all freqencies accounted for.
