your going to blow that woofer
BIG TIME
1100 is its PEAK so it could only do like 3 second blurps with 1600RMS and with that big of a port your definetly going to over power it

lol that amp isnt 1600 rms. It only puts out 370 at 2 ohms, and i dont think its 1 ohm stable. and anyways, if it is 1 ohm stable, youll only be getting about 740 rms, which is not going to be enough for an 1100 rms sub.

power acoustik is the most overrated brand i have ever seen. There 1000 watt max amp only does around 200 rms at 2 ohms, and it isnt 1 ohm stable. Lol. so why do they call it 1000 watt amp??? haha.

first off, your probably going to burn the amp out if you run it bridged at a 2ohm load..., you need an amp that produces max power at 2ohm load...

you need an amp that is 600 rms at 2 ohms.

that 1600 one is only 370, and that visonik is only 275.

try to find a 1 channel amp that is 600 rms.

save money? i would get a better sub if i were you.

Also, you sure you want to go for just an spl setup? if you get subs that are strong enough, they are going to be loud no matter what enclosure you put them in. and then you are going to be wishing that you got subs with better sq.

uhh, whats your budget anyways? and what size sub will you go with? does it have to be 18????

most subs don't work in 50-60Hz tuning unless they are like BUILT for compotitino, not just a compotition sub but like people actually use them for compotitions

lol. so your going to spend money on subs, and an amp, and only use them for 1 competition. subs at 50 hz, would be annoying to listen to. id rather not even have subs. haha. 38 hz was already too high, to me.

if you think your going to even come close to winning anything, then toss that 550rms sub. that thing sucks. if your going to beat 2 mojos, your going to have to get a sub around 1600 rms. and i dont think youll find even close to that for 2-3 hundred dollars. lol. also, youll end up needing to buy an amp around 1600 rms, which will also be expensive. then you might wanna get a High output alternator, and battery.

and even then, you probably still wont beat 2 12" 1000rms mojos...

lol well, your budget better go way up, if your going to buy an amp and sub that both are around 1600. and you will probably need to go higher.

what sub and amp do you have in mind now? lol
