it depends on the amps protection circuitry, but some will play untill they blow, soundstream for example, im not sure if theyll go till they blow but i know they wont turn off when theyre playing blown speakers
depends on your amp really. Some high end amps will take it and run forever with no problems while some will quickly heat up and cook. I don't reccomend it but hey it's your amp man.
