I use a screwdriver and a cresent wrench.

Just remove your molding around your HU (Carefully) then that should expose some bolts, or hex heads or something.

I can have my HU out in under 5 min's, Shhhh dont tell.lol

Headunit removal keys?

If you dont have any, run down to like Circuit City or a local audio shop and chances are they'll just give you a pair, i know i have about 50 sets in my tool box at work

so your not removing a factory HU.... your replacing the After market one you have...

well all you should have to do is pull the molding as rave'n said, get some hu removal keys as jeff said....

put one key down the center of each side of the hu and it should pop right out...

you could also use a butter knife...
a pocket knife
a steak knife
a butterfly knife
a fish scaling knife
a plastick knife

all right, cool guys. yes, i am taking out my HU because i just want to know how for future ref and to install others people's. i have a kenwood one and i take off a plastic thing around it and then take out the face plate and then as you guys said, i can take a knife (of some sort, lol) and go inbetween the metal outer part and the HU itself (on both sides) and i have to push in or somthin??? do i push outwards? or inwards or down or what??

do any of u guys have a link to the HU removal key so i can just look at it??
