Portable DVD Player Question????

how can i hook up my portable dvd player to my radio... so i can have the sound coming out of the speakers of my car.

there is a front and rear output. but if i put one in the front as example sound only comes out the front..


i want it to come out all the speakers how do i do that.

i have a 7700 pioneer deck if that helps

As long as you have an AUX input you should be alright.

Get some RCA Y-adapters and go to town.

For a simple hook up, go ahead and do what Jeff said. Just get RCA Y splitters and split the signal so that you may have all four speakers running.

But,

I think there may be a little more to it than that.

DVD recordings have surround sound recordings. You may need a system that is capable of adapting from a 5.1, 6.1, or 7.1 etc... to a regfular front and rear audio setup. This is probably where your problem lies.

Take for instance a home DVD surround sound setup. If you scroll through your audio options you will see that you may select just the front speakers to play or surround. When you play a DVD recorded in surround sound mode, most of the sound will be coming from the main front L/R speakers only. Occasionally you will get sound coming from your rear L/R speakers, but only if there is a something that has been recorded coming from behind the camera so to speak (kinda like a car passing by).

im confused, i looked at the y adapters. i need 4 males and 2 females i cant find that look!!!

Just get two sets of 2 males to 1 female.
