ok my amp (lanzar 800w 2 channel) is grounded properly has brand new rockford fosgate audio cables 18" ground (cut it from 4 foot) 24' power cable and im trying to run either two volfenhag 12's or a kicker xpl 12 whats the problem everytime i try to hook them up it just does a heart beat type thing....it sucks in and out,.... so what is the problem iv tried everything so what is next if i need a cap or batterie then i need to know how to hook them up so..... yea i need and answer hopefully tonite

thats because of too much impedance on your power wire they are not supposed to be over 19'.
there is not enuff power reaching your amp and that can be bad for the subs.

And what ohm are your subs wired to?

the kicker is svc 4ohm and the volfenhag are 4ohm dvc and i on;y have one of the voice coils on the vlofenhags hooked up....sthat bad

oh yea my kicker is workin' fine basses hard (for me ...its my second install so yea) but it still has the heartbeat effect
it only comes when the music is low or bass isnt hitting in song
do ya really think its the length of the power?.....
and is a power acousitik 1200 w amp good?
its only 200 buck brand new

what do you mean a 'heartbeat' thing? Define 'sucks in and out'? I dont understand what you're saying, but might be able to help, if I did.

you should never only hook up one voice coil in a dual voice coil sub.

also, you should NEVER wing it with car audio. i know everyone thinks they know what their doing, but if you dont even have both voice coils for one sub hooked up, you need to assistance. You can easily ruin hundreds of dollars worth of car audio equipment by setting it up wrong. do yourself a favor, and never try to "hook it up and hope for the best" again

speakes out of phase, but you should not mix the subs anyway....
