Ok, the feeling you get when you sit in a car with a good system and it feels like your ears are bleeding or something and gets to your brain...

What causes that? Is it subs with good SQ or SPL?

SQL is when is it able to be musical and reproduce bass accurately......but it can also play very loudly when desired.

SQ+SPL=SQL
They are like a hybrid.

A SPL setup will make your ears hurt and make stuff rattle and vibrate

A SQ setup will give you a clear bass response to where you hear the bass more than feel it.

Example:
You can a sub that gets loud with horrible SQ, say an Audiobahn flame compression (aka SPL sub), or a sub that gets just as loud with better SQ like a Stereo Integrity magnum (aka SQL sub). The stereo int. will prob get even louder though... Then you can get say an Ascendant Audio Assassin, which is all about SQ, and doesnt get too loud

Yeah I'm sure it puts out some sound, but I was comparing them to the other 2, which it has nothing on. Never heard one personally though...

I was just using it as an example to say an SQL sub can compare to an SPL sub in the loudness factor.
